Dawn Alexson, 50, Superior, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at St. Francis Home in the Park due to Alzheimer's disease.
She was born on March 1, 1962, in Eau Claire, Wis. to Robert and Patricia (Demoe) Miller.
Dawn was self-employed as an architectural draftsman.
She is survived by two daughters, Leah (Jason) Klobucher, Maple, Wis., Alayna Alexson, Duluth, Minn.; one granddaughter, Campbell Klobucher, Maple; two sisters, Colleen Miller, Poplar, Wis., Robin Harvey, Iron River, Wis.; nieces and nephews, Ashley Alexson, Kayleen Alexson, Justin Alexson, Mitch Ogren, Taylore Ogren, Claire Harvey, Lydia Harvey, Sydney Harvey and Aubree Miller and her father, Robert (Donna) Miller, Maple.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Wright.
Dawn was diagnosed at the age of 43 with Alzheimer's disease and has struggled with it for the past seven years. Her family has donated Dawn's brain to the Alzheimer Disease Research Center at the University of Pittsburgh so that others may be helped and a cured can be found.
A Graveside service will be held at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Brule at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, with Rev. Sarah Kerkes of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, officiating.
Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
