Oh Dearest Chrissie, Barb and Cathy, I am so sorry to hear about Bill's passing. I am happy that I had the opportunity to meet him and get to know him a bit. He was such an intelligent and interesting man. A true inspiration of strength and will to survive despite what was happening to his body and in his life. I cannot imagine how hard this has been for all of you, however, I do know that Bill knew that he was loved deeply and dearly. He will never be forgotten by so many people, I am one of them and we only met one time. He left an impression on me that will last a lifetime. I'm sure he was greeted with open arms and didn't have a whole lot of explaining to do at the "Gate". I would bet he and Fred and Jimmy are having a blast, laughing and recalling all the crazy stuff that happened here on Earth. I can only imagine the stories that haven't been told. I would like to sit down with ya's and hear some more of the antics that these 3 beautiful men came up with during their lives here. May you find comfort in knowing that Bill has joined the Lord in Heaven and all the loved ones who have passed before him. I hope you can feel the angels touching you right now, giving you the strength and peace that will be needed as time goes on and everyone returns to their own busy lives. Thank God you have wonderful friends and family who will help you get through the rough stuff and remember we are never alone, when the hurts and painful emotions seem unbearable, HE is with us and we are being carried HIS loving arms. I am so sorry that I will be unable to attend Bill's Service on Wenesday. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and I will always be here if you ever need an ear to bend, a shoulder to cry on or a cup of coffee and fresh homemade cinnamom roll...just give me a few hours heads up for the rolls to be made or I'll have to serve crackers and cheese (if I have cheese on hand) and maybe some venison sticks or some other nasty venison something. Rolls or pie heal a broken heart much better than anything on this earth except chocolate. I love you all, the love you have shown me over the years, since I was a child has made an impact on me that will always be cherished. All of the ARC parents, kids and siblings have been such a joy that only a small percentage of the population is able to understand the blessings that come to a family of a special needs person. Their love is unconditional and pure, the things that they have taught us cannot be found in a book or taught in a classroom. God Bless You All. Chris, when I was a kid and you were "old", probably 14 or so, I thought you were the coolest person I'd ever met! By Golly, you still are. I've never quite met someone quite like you...except of course Freddy...you remind me of a Freddy Clone in a female body. How a father and daughter can be so much alike is beyond my conception. Fred was a precious soul with a heart of gold and a sense of humor that made me almost fall off my chair sometimes. You ARE a miniature Freddy; a bright personality that shines and lights up any room you enter, making people feel cared for and loved, bringing a sense a humor to any occasion. That is a gift few of us were given and you got it my friend.....as long as it's not too early in the morning. You are wonderful and I will never forget seeing the love that you and Bill shared with one another. You treated him with kindness and respect....at least in front of me which was so nice to see and experience. Behind closed doors I would suspect there were times of frustration and maybe even a few exchanges of unpleasantries. Let that stuff go buddy.....you were a perfect match for Bill and he, you. You are still the coolest chick I've ever known. Toni A Peterson- Brule, WI
