Florence G. Radtke

Florence G. Radtke, 91, of Solon Springs, Wis. passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Middle River Health & Rehab in Hawthorne, Wis.

Florence was born on March 26, 1921, to Oscar and Alma (Zimmerman) Krueger in Wausau, Wis..

She graduated from Wausau High School and worked at Motor Works in Wausau. On Sept. 4, 1943, she married Carl Radtke. They moved to Solon Springs in 1951. She was a member of the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Solon Springs, Wis. for over 50 years.

Florence is survived by 2 sons, Lloyd (Ruth) of Bristol, Wis. and David of Solon Springs, Wis.; one granddaughter, Rebecca Radtke of Jefferson, Wis.; three great grandchildren, Jordan, Vince and Carlie Gabrys and one great great grandchild; Kaden Ortiz; one sister, Loretta (Franklin) Radtke of Wausau, Wis.; one sister-in-law, Carol Krueger of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; step sister-in-law, Helen Tress of Wauwatosa, Wis.; one brother-in-law, Ted (Dorothy) Radtke of Wausau, Wis.

She is preceded in death by her husband Carl Radtke Sept. 12, 2002, parents, stepmother Dora (Kufahl) Tress Krueger; one brother, Elmer Krueger; one half-brother Eldon (Janet) Krueger; three half-sisters, Doris (Harold) Bauman, Lucille (Ray) Brueggeman, Jeanette (Paul) Rustic; two step-sisters, Marie Tress, Victoria (Myron) Salzsieder; three step-brothers, George (Patricia) Tress, Robert (Lorraine) Tress, Edward Tress; two brother-in-laws, John (Vivian) Radtke, Fred (Arvela) Radtke and four sister-in-laws, Arleen Radtke, Esther (Irven) Kamke, Margaret (Ray) Dutkowski, Leona (Forest) Lee.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 12, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Solon Springs, Wis. Rev. Nathan Winterhof will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Solon Springs, Wis.
