Scott Patrick Greer, 49, lifelong Superior resident, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, unexpectedly, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center.

Scott Patrick Greer, 49, lifelong Superior resident, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, unexpectedly, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center.

He was born on March 16, 1963 in Superior to Vern and Delores (Carlson) Greer.

He was previously employed as a mechanic for Northern Engineering.

Scott was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 80 in Superior. He enjoyed motorcycles, snowmobiles, four wheelers and stock car racing.

Scott is survived by one son, Jeffrey Schleski, Superior; three sisters, Karrie "Kym" Dzick, Superior, Darlyn (David) Abrahamson, Iron River, Marlyn (Tim) Peterson, Iron River; long-time companion, Raelene (Salo) Bergstrom, Superior and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dan.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service on Tuesday, Oct. 9 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home with Rev. Patrick Ziems, of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Nemadji Cemetery.
