Cindy L. Engstrom, 53, Superior, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, unexpectedly in her home.
Cindy L. Engstrom, 53, Superior, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, unexpectedly in her home.
She was born on Oct. 20, 1958, in Superior to James and Delores (Wallin) Kirkwood, Sr.
She married Gary Engstrom on Oct. 21, 1982, and celebrated 29 years of marriage.
Cindy was employed as a jewelry designer for Goodmans and Shane Co.
In addition to her husband Gary, she is survived by one daughter, Melissa (Lee) Gardner, Waconia, Minn.; one son, Jason Kirkwood, Superior; three grandchildren, Halee, Anna and Jon Kirkwood; two brothers, James Kirkwood, Superior, Gerald (Patricia) Kirkwood, Superior, three sisters, Deborah (Merrill) Gerding, Superior, Kimberly Bunnell, Superior, Gina (Joe) Rochon, Solon Springs and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Richard Kirkwood and one sister, Donna Ojala.
Services were held on Monday, Oct. 1 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Pallbearers for the service were James Kirkwood, Jr., Jason Kirkwood, Lee Gardner, Joe Rochon, Jerry Kirkwood and Jaime Kirkwood.
Downs-LeSage Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
