Jeffrey D. Wuori, 65, Maple, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth.
He was born on Nov. 14, 1946 in Superior to Oiva and Vivian (Thurston) Wuori.
He was a self-employed logger prior to working at Essentia Health St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, from which he retired in 2007 after 17 years of service.
Jeff was a member of the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Church, the NRA and AARP.
He is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Nordin; one brother, Gilbert Wuori; one sister, Barbara Wuori, all of Maple; one niece Davette Hart, Wichita Falls, Texa; three grand nephews, Quentin, Kiegan and Ethan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be at 12 Noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service on Monday, Sept. 17 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home with Speaker Melvin Hanka, officiating.
Burial will be in the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery in Maple.
Pallbearers for the service will be Robert Gruebele, Richard Haring, Joel and Andrew Pearson, Daniel Hill and Shayne Dalbec.
