Charles D. "Chuck" Pattee, 72, of Superior, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's, Duluth.
Charles D. "Chuck" Pattee, 72, of Superior, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's, Duluth.
He was born April 15, 1940 in Superior, son of Curtis and Mae (Sharp) Pattee.
On Sept. 8, 1956 in Carlton County, Minnesota, Charles Pattee and Marlene Doolittle were united in marriage.
His work history started with Twin Ports Grocery, that later became Gateway Foods then Fleming Foods, retiring in 1997.
Chuck was a member of Central Assembly of God, Teamsters Union and Busy Bodies.
Some of his interests included bird hunting, fishing, watching football and baseball - especially the Packers and Brewers.
Preceding him in death were his parents, step-mother, grandchild, two brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 55 years, Marlene; daughters, April (Kevin) Lobb, Austin, Minn. and Melinda (Randy) Ellison, Maple; sons, Curtis Pattee, Superior, Charles (Lori) Pattee, South Range and Chris (Kristi) Pattee, Smithfield, Utah; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Smull, Superior; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3 at Central Assembly of God, 3000 Hammond Avenue, Superior. The visitation will resume at 10 until the 11 a.m. service Tuesday, at the church. Reverend Tom Miller will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Don Mihalak, Butch Krisak, Chuck Lindenberg, Dan Telega, Carl Ellison and Jim Lundberg.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements.
