Gerald E. "Jerry" Anderson

Gerald E. "Jerry" Anderson, 75, passed away Aug. 26, 2012 in Chris Jensen Health Care Center.

He was born Nov. 20, 1936 in Superior and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Superior Central High School. He retired from Lakehead Constructors, Inc., after working for them for many years. He loved cars, golf, fishing, hunting and casinos and especially enjoyed visiting with friends and family.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Anna Anderson, paternal grandparents, Alfred and Caroline Anderson and maternal grandparents, Andrew and Anna Simrak and brothers-in-law Kenneth Nyquist and Glen Burke.

He is survived by three children Peggi (Ray), Gerald and Roy; eight grandchildren, Cory (Sancia), Mikey, Chris (Lacie), Vanessa, Danna, Anthony, Cody and Ella; five great-grandchildren Alexi and Abby, Jaidyn, Conner and Elizabeth and Madison; sisters Joan A. Burke of Two Harbors, Minn., Rosemary L. Lear of Superior, Jean A. (L. David) Frank of Superior; many nieces and nephews.

His family would like to thank the staff at Chris Jensen Health and Rehabilitation Center for their wonderful care and kindness.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the 11 a.m. memorial Mass on Saturday, Sept. 8 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 2316 E. 4th St., Superior.
