Lillian E. Dryborough, 92, of Superior, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 at Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.
Lillian E. Dryborough, 92, of Superior, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 at Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.
She was born March 20, 1920 in Chicago, Ill., daughter of Joseph and Rosamond (Maas) Alexander.
After her high school graduation, Lillian worked many jobs before moving to Superior in 1950.
In 1951 she married William Dryborough in Hayward, Wis.
She was a homemaker until 1974 when her husband died at the age of 51. She then worked in laundry services for the Radisson Hotel and Holiday Inn, both in Duluth, until her retirement in 1985.
Lillian enjoyed traveling, sewing, baking, working puzzles and visiting with her neighbors in the Lund-Hill Apartments.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, William; a brother and three sisters.
Survivors include her son, William L. Dryborough, Superior; niece, Dianne (Glenn) Reid, Chilton, Wis.; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service, Friday, Aug. 31 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior. Rev. Mark Pavola, pastor of Bayside Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Nemadji Cemetery, Superior.
