Earl Robert "Skeet" Avery, 67, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Boundary Waters Care Center in Ely with his daughter by his side.

Earl Robert "Skeet" Avery, 67, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Boundary Waters Care Center in Ely with his daughter by his side.

He was born April 20, 1945, to William F. and Lillian C. (Love) Avery in Superior, Wis. He served in Vietnam 1965-1968 in the United States Marine Corp. He married is wife Pam on Dec. 12, 1968. He worked at Amsoil in Duluth, Duluth Air Base, was a pulp truck driver for Superior Fiber Products and was a Ford technician.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Tracy.

He is survived by his wife Pam; daughters: Lori (Tim) Runquist and Sherry Welsh; adopted son William (Jay) Ziesemer; grandchildren: Cody and Allysa Runquist, Jessica Runquist, Christian Runquist, Alex and Betty; great granddaughter Payton (grand muffin) and soon to be grand son-in-law Joshua Retzloff; sister Sally (Dennis) Corbin; brothers: William (Sylvia) Avery, Carl (Peggy) Avery and Allen (Lisa) Avery; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation on Friday, Aug. 31 from 2-4 p.m. and the wake is 4-5 p.m. at Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Ave, Superior, Wis.

Family arrangements have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home.
