Richard M. "Dick" Nyberg

Richard M. "Dick" Nyberg, passed away on Aug. 20, 2012 in Auburn, Wash. as a result of a lengthy illness.

Richard M. "Dick" Nyberg, passed away on Aug. 20, 2012 in Auburn, Wash. as a result of a lengthy illness.

He was born in Superior, Wis., on Sept. 2, 1940 to Lois (Johnson) and Merlin H. Nyberg.

He was a graduate of Superior Central High School and attended Superior State Teachers College. He served in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam and had retired from United Airlines after 39 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dick is survived by a daughter, Dawn (Duane) Thiessen of Auburn, Wash.; sons, Mark Nyberg of Tacoma, Wash., and Malcolm Williams of Kirkland, Wash.; grandchildren, Kyle and Daniel Thiessen and Elizabeth and Joshua Nyberg; and sisters, Diane (Clint) Anderson of Rosemount, Minn. and Carol (Roger) Anderson of Superior, Wis.

His remains are interred at Mt Tahoma National Cemetery, Covington, Wash.

Yahn and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
