Eugene D. "David" Renko, 61, Superior, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth from severe injuries sustained in a hit and run accident.
Eugene D. "David" Renko, 61, Superior, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth from severe injuries sustained in a hit and run accident.
He was born on May 13, 1951, in Green Bay, Wis. to Eugene J. and Beatrice (Eder) Renko.
David graduated from Cathedral High School and had attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis..
He served in the United States Navy.
David was a self-employed computer technician.
He loved all kinds of music especially the Rolling Stones and he enjoyed cooking.
David is survived by a daughter, Patricia Renko, Texas; his mother, Betty Renko, Superior; a sister, Mary Jane Grajeda, Wichita, Kan.; two nieces; aunts; uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Jacob Renko and an infant sister, Margaret Rose Renko.
Visitation will begin 2:30 p.m. Friday Aug. 24th until the 3:30 p.m. Memorial Mass at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. James Tobolski as celebrant.
Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

We are so saddened by the new of Dee's passing. We always had so much fun going out with Dee to the old Viking Bar. Our conversations are such great memories. Dee's intelligence and quick wit made for a great time. We are happy to have spent time with him the last time we were in town (end of July).
