Mark grew up in Superior and graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1981. Mark served more than five years in the United States Army after his graduation in Seoul Korea; upon his honorable discharge, Mark relocated in Colorado first in Colorado Springs then in Fort Collins where for the last 16 years he was employed at Colorado State University.

While growing up in Superior Mark enjoyed guitar, hunting and the outdoors and continued to enjoy them in Colorado as well.

He is survived by his wife Cassi and their daughter Harlie Leora who will be 2 in December, his mother Leora J. Olson (Colorado), brother Paul R. Olson, and sisters Jeans M. Sullivan and Sandie Sloan.

Condolences can be in care of Jean Sullivan, PO Box 747, Monument, CO 80132. A memorial service will be in Fort Collins on Saturday Aug. 18.
