Paul E. Garro, 38, of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012.
He was born on Aug. 1, 1974 in Duluth, Minn., and is the son of Anthony and (Vicki Swanson) Garro.
Paul graduated from Superior High School and during high school, he was involved in different bands and 4-H. After high school, Paul worked for LaPorte's General Contracting in Superior for 18 years as an electrician and carpenter. He recently completed his AA degree, with high honors, from Lake Superior College and was registered in the Electrical Engineering program this fall semester at UMD.
Paul loved to spend time with family and friends, whether it was a backyard bonfire, a day at the beach, or watching a Packer game on the big screen. Sundays always brought a crowd to the house as he felt everyone should love Packer football. He also enjoyed going for bike rides and fishing with his wife and son. Paul's quick wit and sarcasm were his trademarks. His honesty, loyalty, and humor are traits loved by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his biological mother and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Paul is survived by his wife, MaryLynn Garro; his son, Eryk Garro; his daughter, Alyssa Thompson; his grandson, Kolton Miner; his parents, Tony and Vicki Garro and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, at the Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, Superior and continue until the 11 a..m. funeral service with Rev. Mark Holmes officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Superior.
The Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior is assisting the family with arrangements.
