Zelda E. Featherly-Monnier, age 75, of Barron, Wis. passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012.
Zelda was born to Donald and Beatrice Featherly on March 14, 1937 in Frog Creek Township, Wis. She married Ronald Monnier Sr. on June 4, 1954 and had four children.
Zelda lived her life to the fullest and did everything "her way". She had a heart of gold, a fierce temper and a wicked sense of humor. She lived hard and loved hard and was a woman that if you were lucky enough to meet her, you would never forget her. Zelda enjoyed traveling and was an avid hunter, but her true love in life was fishing. She also loved going to the casino. There was nothing she wouldn't do for someone she loved.
Zelda will be terribly missed by her four children, Ronald and Frank of Barron, Wis., Vivian (Richard) Josephson of Chetek, Wis., Tim (Dorene) of Spooner, Wis.; two sisters, Bonnie (Don) Jackson of Trego, Wis., Tessie Huset of Silver Bay, Minn.; 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren that she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard and Dale; an infant sister, Nadean, two infant great-grandchildren; and her ex-husband and friend, Ronald.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the funeral service celebrating Zelda's life at 12 Noon on Sunday, August 5, at Dahl Funeral Home in Spooner, Wis. with Richard Lambert officiating. Interment will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, at Webb Lake Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Huset, Dale Featherly Jr., Arnold Featherly, Richard Jackson, Donald Schoonover and Marvin Schoonover.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Solon Springs - Minong, Wisconsin.
