George C. LaValley

George C. LaValley, 84, of Superior, died July 18, 2012 in his home.

George served in the Navy from 1945-1949. He was employed by Superior Water, Light and Power for 39 years. He was a member of St. Francis Parish.

Upon retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, attending small engine classes and spending time planting trees. He was a handyman who helped a lot of people. He enjoyed the years he was able to travel to Arizona for the winter.

He is survived by his wife Joyce of 62 years; three sons, George Jr. (Kay), Gary (Luann) and Bruce; two daughters Catherine and Elizabeth, all of Superior; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, William (Kay) and Bernard; six sisters, Margaret, Germaine (John), Rose, Shirley, Katie (Charles) and Patricia (Gary).

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial Mass on August 18 at St. Francis Church in East End, Superior. A donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
