Vivian M. Frazer, 90, of Superior, passed away on June 30, 2012, at the Omega House in Houghton, Mich.
Vivian M. Frazer, 90, of Superior, passed away on June 30, 2012, at the Omega House in Houghton, Mich.
She was born May 13, 1922, in Hancock, Mich. a daughter of David and Evelyn Mae (Luke) Ploof. She was a graduate of Hancock High School in 1940. She worked at a bomber plant in Detroit during World War II.
She was married to Raymond G. Frazer in 1944 in San Diego, Calif. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2005.
Vivian was a member of Christ the King Cathedral in Superior. She also did volunteer work for many years for Casda of Superior.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by three children, son R. Jon Frazer and wife Iantha of Port Angeles, Wash; two daughters Sister Susan Frazer of Jamaica West Indies and Carol Lasky and husband Randy of Duluth; four grandchildren Steven, Jeffrey, Kimberly and Brian; two step-grandchildren Paul and Meghan; two sisters Joyce Messner and Barbara Kempen; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 5 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden, Mich. with her nephew, Fr. Tom Poisson to officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden, Mich. is in charge of arrangements
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to: St. John Bosco Children's Home, PO Box 1692, Mandeville P.O., Manchester, Jamaica, West Indies.
