Russell Lee Quinn, 72, of Superior passed away on Friday June 15, 2012, at Solvay Hospice House after a 2½ year battle with cancer.

Russell Lee Quinn, 72, of Superior passed away on Friday June 15, 2012, at Solvay Hospice House after a 2½ year battle with cancer.

Russ was born May 6, 1940, in St. Paul, Minn., and moved to Superior in 1982.

He served for the US Army from February 1958 to February 1961.

Russ enjoyed golfing, spending time at his cabin with family and friends, and playing his guitar.

He is survived by his wife Beverly A. Quinn of 20 years, son Russ Jr., three stepdaughters Denise Johnson, Karen (Jeff) Jennings, and Vickie (David) Watnemoe, seven granddaughters and one grandson.

There will be no service held at this time.

Bev, I'm really sorry to hear about your loss... I have missed Russ since the day he retired and I moved away. His witty comments and trademark laugh alway brightened my day. He was loved and appreciated by the students and staff at UWS. - Jeff Dupont

Bev, My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this difficult time. Russ' constant smile and infectious laugh will be missed on campus. He was a true "team player"....always there to lend a hand and share a funny story. Tami Susens, UWS Athletics

Dear Bev & Family Our Prayers & Sympathy goes out to you at this Sad & Difficult. time. Russell was a Very Nice & Caring Man. If we can do anything just let us know.
