Kathleen J. Holmes, 65, of Oliver, Wis. passed away Tues., May 22, 2012, in Hospice at Essentia-St. Mary's, Duluth, Minn.

Kathleen J. Holmes, 65, of Oliver, Wis. passed away Tues., May 22, 2012, in Hospice at Essentia-St. Mary's, Duluth, Minn.

She was born in Duluth Aug. 25, 1946 to Maureen (Connolly) and Edwin Jackson.

She was formerly employed as a bookkeeper by Essentia Health-St. Mary's and also the Union Gospel Mission.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, David; a son, Rebb Bourossa of Oliver; step-children, Rebecca Sash, and John and Brian Holmes all of Duluth; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister, Mary Buttrick of Oliver; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

A Memorial mass will be held on Saturday June 2 at 1 p.m. in Holy Assumption Catholic Church with Rev. Ronald Olson as Celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Essentia-St. Mary's nurses and doctors, especially Dr. Fox, for the wonderful care Kathleen received.

Dave, Reb, brian, Carla, Jon and family. I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Katie for years and you have been part of us for a long time. She was a wonderful friend, mentor, mother, wife and grandma. She will be miss by our family but also by the rabbit club. Unfortunately I will be at a rabbit show on the 2 out of town but you know we are here for all of you. Call anytime God Bless and love you Carla, Karl, Brandon, Ashley, chris and Sativa
