Margaret "Marge" G. Anderson, a resident of Superior for 71 years passed away at age 94.

Margaret "Marge" G. Anderson, a resident of Superior for 71 years passed away at age 94.

Margaret was born in Stevens Point, Wis., on August 4, 1917, to Hjalmar and Katherine Nicholson. She moved to Cloquet, Minn., in 1921.

She attended St. Olaf College one year and graduated from Duluth Business University in 1939.

Marge married Irving M. Anderson of Superior on June 6, 1942, and moved to Superior. She became a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and sang in the church choir. Marge also belonged to Deborah Circle, ELCW, the Quilter's Club, past officer of United Commercial Travelers, member of UCT Council and the Superior Women's Club.

Marge worked for Minnesota Fabric for 15 years.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Irving; and sister, Gloria.

Survivors include her son, Donald (Esther) Anderson, Lyman Lake, Wis.; daughters, Kay (Jim) Leerssen, Brooklyn Park, Minn., and Marilyn (Gary) Gundry, Proctor, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Tuesday, April 10 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 820 Belknap St., Superior. Rev. Will Mowchan will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Margaret's grandchildren, Melissa Larson, Douglas Anderson, Angela Herr, Chad Gundry, Robert Leerssen, Jamie Gundry and Shawn Gundry.

Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Superior.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Star Dusk House and Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospice.
