Tia L. Larson, 57, longtime Superior resident for the past 35 years, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Essentia Health Hospice Unit, Duluth with family and friends by her side.

Tia L. Larson, 57, longtime Superior resident for the past 35 years, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Essentia Health Hospice Unit, Duluth with family and friends by her side.

She was born in San Bernardino, Calif. on Oct. 5, 1954 to Orville and Neda (Johnson) Moses.

She graduated from high school and attended Duluth Business University where she studied graphic design and she was a homemaker.

She attended Freshwater Vineyard Church and Assembly of God churches. She was a member of Celebrate Recovery for many years. Tia enjoyed photography, graphic design, shopping and going to garage sales. She was also previously involved with home care.

She is survived by two daughters, Christina (Bob) Rae, Grand Rapids, Minn., Jennifer (Luc) Bonk, Superior; four grandchildren, Nick, Andrew, Kyle and Jack; and her stepmother, Ruby Moses, Las Vegas, Nev.

A time of remembrance will be held from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. celebration of Tia's life on Friday, March 30, at Freshwater Vineyard Church, 603 Faxon St., Superior with Rev. Ken Wilson, officiating.

Tia's grandchildren will be recognized as pallbearers.

Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
