Edith M. Mattson, 89, of Superior, died Monday, March 19, 2012 in Villa Marina Nursing Home following a brief illness.
Edith M. Mattson, 89, of Superior, died Monday, March 19, 2012 in Villa Marina Nursing Home following a brief illness.
Edith was born in Hawthorne, on Nov. 21, 1922 to Edgar and Jenny Williams.
She had graduated from Superior Central High School. Edith worked at Brace's and Dan's Feed Bin for 43 years. She was an avid bowler, an excellent gardener and canner. She loved family get togethers, and will be sadly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 65 years Harold; brothers George and Benny Williams; sisters Charlotte Haworth, Eco Haskins, Laura Clang, and Ruby Williams.
She is survived by her son Robert and many nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff, Edward, Tommy, Danny, and Robert Williams, Ellis Thompson, Bob Ruel, and Dan Stine.
Visitation will be held on Saturday March 24, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service in Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home. Burial will be in Poplar Cemetery at a later date.
