Kevin Jon Teppo

Kevin Jon Teppo, 51, of Minneapolis, died unexpectedly due to a stroke on Feb. 28, 2012.

Kevin was born April 12, 1960 in Duluth and was raised in Superior. He was a graduate of Superior High School in 1978.

Kevin was a kindhearted person with a great sense of humor. He loved and played hockey, starting at the age of six and continued in the city's hockey league into his teens. He enjoyed reading, gourmet cooking, biking and was an avid Packer fan.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Terho and Violette Teppo, and his brother, Terry.

He is survived by his three children, Jason, Karen and Christopher; sisters Carol (Nick) Baker and Debra (Gene) Szymaszek; brothers Larry (Linda), Bruce (Beth) and Brian Teppo; sister-in-law Mary Teppo; aunts Aune Maula, Frances Wick, and Delores Hakkila: uncle Paul Hakkila; cousins and many nieces and nephews.

Kevin's family is planning a celebration of his life and private inurnment service at a later date at Everrest Cemetery in Brule.
