Theresa June Stordahl, 90, of Superior, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.
Theresa June Stordahl, 90, of Superior, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.
She was born June 2, 1921, in Blackduck, Minn., daughter of Samuel and Irene (Price) Lee.
On Jan. 9, 1938, at Cass Lake, Minn., Theresa Lee and Roland Stordahl were united in marriage.
Theresa was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, and with her sister Doris, the two ladies served as church librarians. Some of her other interests included the Girl Scouts of America, serving as leader and volunteering on various committees; Superior School District kitchen aide and bookkeeper for her husband's service station.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Roland "Rollie" Stordahl in 2006; grandsons, Kevin McCusker, Mark McCusker and Jon Stordahl; sisters, Rose Gorman and Margaret Rognlien; and brothers, Phillip "Jack" Lee, James Lee and Robert Lee.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharron (James) McCusker, Superior; son, Duane (Bonnie) Stordahl, Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren, Brian (Vici) McCusker, Jeffrey (Tara) McCusker, Threasa Newberry, Duane "Rollie" Stordahl, Denise (Ron) Layfield, Darren Stordahl and Dennis Merritt; several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Lindberg, Superior; sister-in-law, Pearl Stordahl, Bemidji, Minn.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Tuesday, Jan. 31 at Bethel Lutheran Church, Superior, with Pastor Gary Garnatz officiating.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
Pallbearers will be Brian McCusker, Jeffrey McCusker, Eric McCusker, Taylor McCusker, Ron Layfield and David Thompson.
Should friends desire, memorials in Theresa's name may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church.
Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements.
