As Ronald stated, we remember certain teachers that made a difference, Mrs. Hoven was one of those. I had her at Lincoln in '74-'75. They lived only 2 1/2 block away from us on E 6th Street and I could always count on her buying whatever it was we were selling for youth hockey or church youth group. Scott C. Leach St. Paul, MN

I echo Semra's comment. She was my 2nd grade teacher at Lincoln School, '58-'59, and was outstanding, although, at the time I did not know it. As many of us do, we remember certain teachers that made a difference and she was one who did. The last time I saw her was about 3 years ago at Tom's Beauty Shop in East End. She let me off the hook on an arithmetic assignment I still owed her. Ron Engstrom - Tulsa, OK.
