Donna Jean Pitoscia, 60, lifelong Superior resident died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011.
Donna Jean Pitoscia, 60, lifelong Superior resident died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s, Duluth.
She was born Jan. 20, 1951, in Superior, to John and Margaret (St. George) Rutkowski.
She was a member of the Eagles Club Aerie 80. She was a homemaker and a childcare provider for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking and many domestic tasks.
Donna loved spending time with family and friends at the family retreat in Solon Springs. She loved nature and had a particular fondness for humming birds. She was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
She is survived by one son Sean Pitoscia, Superior; three sisters, Darlene (Gus) Gustafson, Tacoma, Wash., Ruthann (Charles) Borghwart, Janesville, Wis., Leola (Melvin) Beckwell, Superior; three brothers, Albert Rutkowski, Solon Springs, Bernard (Nelda) St. George, Solon Springs, Steven (Kathy) Rutkowski, Savage, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Phyllis Wick, Karen McGrath and Janice Rochon, and one brother, Dick Rutkowski.
Per Donna’s request, no public services are planned at this time.
Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
