Lois Marie Anderson, 79, of Superior died Monday, Dec. 5, 2011.
Lois Marie Anderson, 79, of Superior died Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Duluth.
Lois was born in Minneapolis on April 1, 1932, the daughter of Laura and John Gilmore.
She enjoyed cooking and crocheting. Most important to her was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jody Anderson; two sisters; and one brother.
Lois is survived by her husband of 63 years, James “Sam” Anderson Sr.; two sons, James “Guppy” (Janet) Anderson Jr. and Rickie (Vicki Hewitt) Anderson, both of Superior; four grandchildren, Angel (Kevin Homich) Anderson of Superior, Brian (Kelli) Anderson of Superior, April (Chad) Benesch of South Range and Cody Anderson of Trinity, N.C.; six great-grandchildren, Ryan (Baylee), Eric, Kylie, Camren, Madalyn and Liam; a special cousin, Dixie Lee of Hermantown; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9 in the Downs Funeral Home Chapel, 1617 N. 19th St. The Rev. Phil Terrill will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior.
