Julie E. Hudacek, following a valiant battle with cancer, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, with her family by her side.
She was born March 3, 1934, in Cloquet Minn., to Herbert and Ragnhild (Rags) Anderson, the eldest of their three daughters. She grew up in Cloquet and graduated from Cloquet High School.
Julie was united in marriage to Stephen T. (Steko) Hudacek in July 1968. They lived in Superior where they raised their family.
Julie cherished spending time with her loved ones. Her family, especially her children and grandchildren, were a source of joy and pride whom meant the world to her. Julie always made everyone feel welcome, loved unconditionally and appreciated everyone for who they were. She was an exceptional woman who lived her life caring for others.
Julie is survived by her children, Gail (Tim Miller) Rosenbaum, Thomas (Betty Palikowski) Hudacek, Timothy Hudacek and Tammy Hudacek; her stepchildren, Stephen (Rusty) Hudacek and Cheryl (Nick) Danculovich; her grandchildren, Aaron and Cody Rosenbaum, Jameson and Samuel Hudacek, Jessica Larson, Jason Nelson, Jordan and Taylor Harker, and Chas (Scott) Balut; her great-grandchildren, Alex and Adam Balut and a soon-to-be born great-grandson; her sisters, Darlene Olson and Kathy (Richard) Zack; her brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life Stephen T. Hudacek, her parents, brother-in-law Bucky Olson and nephew Mark Olson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th St., with Darrow Road Wesleyan Church lay minister James McCusker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
