Eunice L. Alholm, 74, longtime Maple area resident, died at her home Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Iron River on Jan. 2, 1937, the daughter of Chester and Martha (Granlund) Olson.
Eunice married Edwin Alholm on Aug. 1, 1970, in Saginaw, Minn., and recently had celebrated 41 years of marriage.
She was a member of the Cloverland Covenant Church and the Gideon’s in Superior.
Eunice enjoyed playing Scrabble and doing crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin; two brothers, David (Joyce) Olson, Port Wing, Wis., and Eben (Judy) Olson, Beaver Dam, Va.; one sister, Linda Kiggins, Mason, Wis.; many nieces and nephews; and special cousins, Carol (Tom) Knolton, Excelsior, Minn., and Joanne (Fran) Miller, Maple.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kirk Allen Hanley; her parents; one brother, Roy Olson; and one sister, Marsha Hutton.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 in Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. Fifth St., Superior.
Visitation will continue at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, in the Cloverland Covenant Church and continue until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Charles Ells, officiating.
Burial will be in the Cloverland Covenant Cemetery.
