Judith K. “Judy” Konkel, 66, a lifelong Superior resident died Wednesday May 25, 2011.

Judith K. “Judy” Konkel, 66, a lifelong Superior resident died Wednesday May 25, 2011, in her residence.

She was born in Superior on May 18, 1945, to Erwin and Bernice Searle. Judy graduated from the former East High School. She had been employed by Thyssen-Krupp Elevator as the office manager. Judy enjoyed reading, architecture, gardening, cooking and interior design.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

Judy is survived by her daughters Heather (Kelly) Magnuson of Superior, and Denise (Claude) Mann of Cottage Grove, and grandchildren Joshua (Jacqueline) Mann, and Skyler, Samanatha, Tyler, and Amber Magnuson.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday June 4, 2011, in Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.

Hello Heather and Kelly Rich and I are so very sorry to learn Heather, that your mother has passed away. Our condolences are late because we just arrived back from Ireland late yesterday afternoon, and we are now reading the newspapers.
