Dorothy Michelizzi, 82, born and raised in Superior, passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2011, from cancer.

Dorothy Michelizzi, 82, born and raised in Superior, passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2011, from cancer.

Dorothy was previously employed by Coop Bakery, Russell Creamery and Davidson Printing. She enjoyed spending time at home, going to her club with her friends of over 55 years, and going to the casino.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Rokie Michelizzi and her parents, Anna and Gust Engelbrektson.

Dorothy is survived by her brother Ken Engelbrektson; children, Diane Michelizzi and Dean “Mitch” (Amy) Michelizzi; three grandchildren, Leslie Day, Durham, N.C., Mark Smith of Minneapolis, Minn. and Sheyene Michelizzi of Raleigh, N.C.; a great-grandchild, Dakota Smith of Superior; and nephews Tim, Dan, Jay and John Engelbrektson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 7, from 10 a.m. until the 11a.m. memorial service in Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home. Chaplin Dolce Proud will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
