Bert was a good friend of our family. He came over often & had dinner with us while I was growing up. He gave me an old vanity with a round mirror. I fell in love with it, as I was about 12yrs. old. It was a treasure to me. He worked for my Uncle Marvin at the Mobil station for quite a while. A well liked and friendly person. I grew up and moved away and hadn't seen Bert for quite a few years. I have memories of such a nice, nice man. I guess he was thought of as a type of Uncle. Thanks for the memories Bert. We kids always joked about Bert & my father Ernie. They were our very own "Bert & Ernie"! Jill Haskins-Schaaf

We remember Bert when he used to deliver oil to our house on Wasko Road and warded off some would be thieves while we were at work. Thanks again Bert, we will miss your kindness. Barb & Ron DeFore, Solon Springs

I remember when Bert worked at the Mobil, I just thanked him for pumping my gas, Marv came out of the station and my kids asked if that was Ernie, they heard me say thanks Bert..... He was a nice man.
