Jack Hinton Morrow, 72, of Superior, passed away in his home Aug. 27, 2010, after a courageous six-year battle with cancer.
Jack Hinton Morrow, 72, of Superior, passed away in his home Aug. 27, 2010, after a courageous six-year battle with cancer.
He was born Dec. 13, 1937, in Chicago, Ill. to John and Ann (Sepic) Morrow. He attended Illinios Wesleyan College where he belonged to the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity also attended DeVry Tech followed by two years in the Army. He spent his life working as an electronics engineer at Machtronic Products in Minong, Wis. where he was part owner.
Jack was an avid runner competing in Grandmas, New York, and Whistle Stop Marathons and the Gary Bjorkland half marathon, and the Tin Man triathalon. He skied the Birkebiener and Kortelopet. He was a member of the NRA, enjoyed boating, golfing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Jack was survived by his wife of 42 years Mary (Antonion) Morrow; son John (Brenda) Morrow of South Range, Wis.; brother, Tom (Carol) Morrow of Superior; sister, Ellen (Dale) Biros of Minong; five grandchildren, Caitlin, Emily and Jake Morrow of South Range, Ashley Watson of Duluth, Minn., and Austin Wojcik of Chetek, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ann Morrow.
Memorial service will be Sept. 11, 2010, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 10 a.m. visitation 11 a.m. service followed by a luncheon at The Shack Supper Club.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester, Minn. or St. Mary’s Cancer Foundation.
