Donald J. Serre of Foxboro passed away Aug. 27 at St. Mary’s in Duluth with his family by his side.
Donald J. Serre of Foxboro passed away Aug. 27 at St. Mary’s in Duluth with his family by his side.
He was born Jan. 15, 1929, to Anna (Kulas) and Adelore Serre in Superior. Donnie served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked and retired as a switchman on the Burlington Northern Railroad. Donnie enjoyed traveling to Arizona with his wife Ovie, creating in his workshop, and working in his yard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn “Ovie,” and brother Adelore Serre.
Donnie is survived by his sister in-law Lorraine Serre and many nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
