John M. Allen, 56, passed away on Aug. 22, 2010, at his home in Cable, Wis.
John M. Allen, 56, passed away on Aug. 22, 2010, at his home in Cable, Wis.
John Martin Allen was born on June 23, 1954, in the U.S. Army Hospital at Fort Sill, Okla., to parents Thomas R. and Joan M. (Clarke) Allen. John was a member of the American Legion Post 487 in Cable and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, having served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1972 stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas and also in Germany.
He is survived by his parents of Cable; brothers Thomas G. (Sue) of Two Rivers, Wis., Eric “Rick” L. of Drummond, Wis., Robert C. of Ashland, Wis., Michael J. and James C. both of Cable; and 3 nephews.
A celebration of John’s life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, from 2-4 p.m. at the Legion Post 487 Clubhouse in Cable. Anderson Nathan Koerpel Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
