Mitchell A. Johnson, 57, of Superior, passed away on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010.

Mitchell A. Johnson, 57, of Superior, passed away on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010.

He was born Feb. 9, 1953, in Superior, the son of Rudolf W. & Doris E. (Dahlberg) Johnson.

Mitch was a 1971 graduate of Superior High School and was employed as a switchman for the BNSF railroad for 38 years. He was a loving and wonderful husband, father and grandfather who always put his family first. He loved to spend his free time at the country where he was married and first lived with his wife.

He is survived by his wife, Marianne of 31 years; three children, Hayley, Phillip (Heather) and Kyle; a granddaughter, Lilly, whom he nicknamed GiGi; his father, Rudy; and his brothers, Randy, Lance, Wilder and Rolfe.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris.

There will be a private family gathering at a later date. The Roberts Funeral Home in Ashland is assisting the family with arrangements.
