Kathryn Marie Howes, 53, a lifelong Superior, Wis. resident died Thurs., Mar. 11, 2010 in the Solvay Hospice House, Duluth, Minn., following a five year courageous battle with COPD.
Kathryn Marie Howes, 53, a lifelong Superior, Wis. resident died Thurs., Mar. 11, 2010 in the Solvay Hospice House, Duluth, Minn., following a five year courageous battle with COPD.
Kathryn attended the Superior School System and also WITC. She was a member of Cathedral Of Christ The King and the Fond Du Lac Band Of Lake Superior Chippewa.
Her family was very important to her, especially her granddaughters, Hailey Elaine Rask and Heaven Lee Kathryn LaBonte. She enjoyed reading.
Kathryn is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kathlina Marie Howes; two granddaughters, and a grandson to be born in April; her mother, Elaine Laurel Bergstrom all of Superior; three brothers, Darrell and Gene Howes of Superior and David Howes of Duluth; four sisters, Bonnie Lehner, Debra Howes, Laurie Verlooy and Yvonne O’Campo all of Superior; 34 nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her father, Eugene George Howes; three brothers, Dennis, William “Peco”, and Robert “Bobby” Howes; and a nephew, Danny Howes Mosack.
The Mass Of Christian Burial was held in Cathedral Of Christ The King on Monday, March 15, with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant. Inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
Kathryn’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Solvay House for the love and compassion shown Kathryn and her family.
