She was born March 11, 1918, in Superior, daughter of Genevieve (O’Grady) and William Schwentkofske.
Her work history included Superior Memorial Hospital, Stack’s Department Store and Roth’s Department Store.
Margaret was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Ogden Avenue Coffee Club and past-president of the Lady Elks.
She enjoyed bunko, crossword puzzles, cards and Monday morning coffee with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Leo M. Larson in 1971; daughter, Nancy K. VanOvermeiren; brothers, Gerald and George; and sisters, Eleanore, Katherine and Genevieve.
Survivors include sons, Larry (Diane) Larson, Lake Nebagamon, and John Larson, Superior; daughters, JoAnn Duffany, Saline, Mich., and Jeanette Tinker, Lake Amnicon; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Mildred Ahlborg, Linda Ness and Lorraine Saari.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial, Tuesday, July 28 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Superior. The celebrant will be Reverend Father James Tobolski.
Active pallbearers will be Jim, Mike, Gary, Tim and Joe VanOvermeiren, Scott and Ryan Duffany, Carrie Keup and Dick Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Adrian Gray and Steve Larson.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Superior.
Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements.
