Agnes S. Peterson, 90, of Grand Avenue in Duluth, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at St. Mary’s Medical Center Hospice, Duluth.
She was born Dec. 8, 1918, in Superior, daughter of Olaf and Gunvor (Olson) Sundet.
Agnes was a graduate of Minneapolis South High School, Minneapolis.
On Oct. 18, 1952, in Minneapolis Agnes S. Sundet and Wilbur “Bill” Peterson were united in marriage.
Agnes resided at the Wesley Residence in Duluth for the past three years. A special thank you for all the love and kindness she was shown by the staff and the many friends she had there.
For many years, Agnes was a member of Duluth Gospel Tabernacle.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Wilbur “Bill” Peterson in 1974; sister, Ann Behling in 2000; brother, William Sundet in 1998; granddaughter, Sasha Creager; grandson, Levi Creager; and son-in-law, Ben Creager.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandy Peterson-Lourey (Bruce), Moose Lake, Minn., and Sue Creager, Mahtowa, Minn.; sons, Greg Peterson, Superior, and Phil (Bonnie) Peterson, White Bear Lake, Minn; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Lorraine) Sundet, Superior; sister, Edna (Harold) Lindberg, Raleigh, N.C.; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Monday, March 30 at Duluth Gospel Tabernacle, 1515 W. Superior St., Duluth, with Reverend Rolf Fure officiating.
Pallbearers will be Linda Perkovich, Rick Sundet, Joan Peterson, Wendy Fetters, Warren Peterson and Mickey Peterson.
Burial will be at the Salem Cemetery, Mahtowa at a later date.
The family also extends a special thank you to the staff at St. Mary’s Medical Center Hospice.
