Olga Andelin, 95, of Solon Springs passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at St. Eligius Health Center in Duluth, Minn. surrounded by her family.
Olga Andelin, 95, of Solon Springs passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at St. Eligius Health Center in Duluth, Minn. surrounded by her family.
Olga was born Aug. 17, 1913, in Duluth to the late George and Grace (Bartz) Johnson.
Olga married John E. Andelin in March 14, 1962.
Olga enjoyed preparing meals and spending time with her family. Olga and her friends would volunteer their time singing at the local nursing homes. She loved to play Bingo at the Solon Springs Community Center. Olga shared her talents by sewing and quilting for her family and those who were of need.
Among those who survive and gratefully shared her life are her two daughters Claudia (Joseph) Bennett of Duluth and Mary Ann (Chuck) Allen of Santa Maria, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband John E. Andelin.
Funeral Services for Olga will be 3 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at the Brown Funeral Home in Solon Springs. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Dennis Kosobucki will officiate.
Spring burial will be in the Bennett Cemetery.
