NIGHT LIGHTS – The Alpena lights up the lighthouse on Wisconsin Point as it departs the Superior Entry on Thursday night, revealing scaffolding around the structure. The U.S. Coast Guard commissioned a project to restore the eaves along. Deterioration of the eaves was discovered a couple years ago when the roof on the 1913 lighthouse was replaced, said MK1 Thomas Frazier of the U.S. Coast Guard in Duluth. The project is near completion.
