Paul Halverson was awarded a lifesaving medal by the Coast Guard in 1975. It was stolen in a burglary and believed to have been sold and melted down. Halverson holds the box that the medal came in at his Duluth home Wednesday night. (Clint Austin / caustin@duluthnews.com)
