Windchill

In this Feb., 21, 2008, photo, Windchill plays with his friend in the next stall moments after being freed from a sling that helps supports him as he tries to stand. Though great effort was made to save Windchill, the colt died 20 days after he was left

outside in South Range with no shelter in bitterly cold weather. Members of a group that tried to help the colt included Gary Niemi (right). (2008 file / News Tribune)
