Tennille, a mixed breed puppy, chews at her leash. Adam Borchert of Ely, a Lake County sheriff’s deputy, adopted the pup Wednesday afternoon after Tennille inadvertently set off the alarm system while chewing through wires at the shelter Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Twice the Superior Police Department responded to the resulting alarm call.
