Don Leighton


Don Leighton poses in his cap and gown in front of Old Main on the University of Wisconsin-Superior campus. Leighton, 59, will be the student speaker during the college’s winter commencement ceremony, which begins at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Marcovich Wellness Center. It took the local columnist and webcaster 41 years to earn his degree. His speech will focus on the importance of humor, a positive attitude and giving back to others. (Maria Lockwood)
