In celebration of the Winter Olympics, Kirsten Standen’s class at the Brule Head Start had a Winter Olympics Day. The preschool children participated in skiing, figure skating, ice hockey and bobsledding. Each child received an American flag and a gold medal at the Awards Ceremony. Elise Lahti, pictured, is waving her flag as she displays her medal around her neck. The Head Start Centers in Brule and Superior are now taking applications for fall 2010.
