Wooing Google


In this March 3, 2010, Aan official parking placard rests on the fireplace mantle in the Google Twin Ports Initiative volunteer center, in Duluth, Minn. The stylized design suggests two well-connected communities on opposite shores of Lake Superior. Google Twin Ports Initiative is a grassroots effort to win selection of Duluth and Superior as one of a handful of sites around the country where Google Inc. will build experimental, ultra-high speed broadband networks.
