Dave, Mrs. Sigfrid and family, I am thinking of you at this time of loss. From the above messages it sounds like your Dad/Husband made quite a contribution to society and made a positive impact on a multitude of people. Take good care of yourselves at this time. JoEllen Nelson

I often think about him coming with Jode to pick my sister and myself up for school every day for a whole year just for to be nice. In those cold Superior winters, it was appreciated. I honestly still recall that fondly along with his great big car. Thank you.

Jim Sigfrids was a statesman. There are not a lot of those left. He was my friend and an ally to the poor, the homeless and the children while he served as a city councilor while I was mayor in Superior. If not for him, there would be no ice arena in Superior. Not only did he vote in favor of funding the rink, he showed up for the fundraisers and spent his own money to make it happen. We'd kid each other because I am a Viking/Twin fan...those were the best moments and the thing I will remember most about him. There is one story I owe to his granddaughter Joi...I will share it with her at the funeral. I'd crawl to be at that funeral. The man was a total class act. I will miss him.
