My daughter was in the Middle College program in Moreno Valley with Mrs. Plesko. She was the finest English teacher I have seen and supported my daughter in her writing. They stayed in touch by Facebook and Mrs. Plesko encouraged her in a pursuit of a degree in English. She was so proud of her student when she completed her degree. Marlana receives her Degree in May from National University and as I told her, Mrs. Plesko will be there with her in spirit. May she rest in peace and may your family be comforted by the fact that she touched young lives in wonderful ways.

I am so sorry for the loss of Suzie .....She was a beautiful person inside and out. I went to High School with her and Forrest and she was always so much fun. I was hoping to reconnect with her again at one of the class reunions. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Marilyn (Olson)

Susan A/K/A "Wilma", a true childhood friend indeed. I didn't see her or hear about her for 40 plus years. I was grateful that Forrest, Susan and sister Linda showed up to the Superior Central Class of 1965, 40 year reunion at Billings park. Peace sent to you and your family. A Friend, Michael G. Okash

I have read the wonderful obituary about Susie. I grew up in Superior, WI. and knew the Wifkoff family all the while I lived there. Susie and I and my sister Susie Yeazle won a prize for singing together in perfect harmony. I went to camp with Susie also. I last saw Susie at the All School Reunion in Superior a few years back. Such a loss to family and friends. Such a wonderful addition to the angels in Heaven My regards to the family and Forests' Putzie Yeazle

I was Susan’s English 101 teaching assistant and worked for her in the UWS Writing Center as well. I remember her wit and patience when working with freshmen who were often struggling to make the transition to college level work, and several non-traditional students returning to school later in life. She mentored me, let me teach under her supervision and then let me solo, and I’m forever thankful for that opportunity. During that time she was teaching at both UMD and UWS, so she was always on the go, and the students knew when class was about to start because we could hear her heels swiftly clicking down the hallway of Old Main as she approached. The only thing greater than her love of watches (I don’t remember her wearing the same one twice!) was her stories and the love for her family that shined though them. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Anton K. Newport News, VA
