Betty Mortorelli’s death brings back 41 years of memories

In one sense it seemed like only yesterday, but in reality it was an entire lifetime passing me by and I wasn’t ready. Suddenly, I wanted — no, I needed to retrieve and relive a memory or two or a hundred if necessary when I got the sad news of a grand lady passing.
